Sadio Wade

Sadio is a Principal who joined Actis in 2019 and has since worked on various transactions in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, across several technologies such as solar, gas, and energy efficiency. In 2021, he completed a secondment for Azura Power.

Sadio started his career in mergers and acquisitions at Nomura in London where he covered financial institutions across EMEA for four years. He worked on transactions involving banks, insurers and asset managers in France, Greece, the Netherlands, Eastern Europe and Northern Africa. After Nomura, he then spent three years working with Nekton Group in London, an energy-focused family office investing in special situations across emerging markets.

Sadio holds a Master of Science from ESCP Europe (Grande Ecole Programme). He also has an MBA from The Wharton School and a MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
