Petros joined Actis in 2021, supporting both new investment opportunities and investee platforms across Actis markets, with a focus on the Americas portfolio.
Petros has 20 years’ experience in the renewables energy sector, having led operations activities in more than 4GW of wind and solar assets, with 13 years’ experience in Latin America.
Petros operational experience across diverse markets has equipped him to guide and oversee the investee companies in Americas, aiding them in successfully contracting and operating their assets. Petros has been instrumental in the due diligence process of new investments in the Americas, including Orygen. During his tenure with Actis, Petros has led operational aspects the Firm’s energy investments in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, and the United States.
Prior to joining Actis, Petros was Chief Operations Officer in Zuma Energía, where he led the construction of the largest wind farm in Latin America with 424MW.
Prior to that, Petros spent 11 years with wind turbine supplier Vestas in various roles including Senior Construction Director for Latin America, leading the construction organisation in designing, planning, contracting, constructing, and bringing to operation wind farm projects of a total 2.5GW across Latin America markets.
Petros holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece and an MBA from Athens University of Economics & Business and National Technical University of Athens.
