Ed joined Actis in July 2019 as Head of the Value Creation Group.
The Value Creation Group plays a key role in supporting Actis’ portfolio companies to drive growth, mitigate risk, troubleshoot issues and prepare for exit.
Prior to joining Actis, Ed was Group COO at Coast2Coast Capital, a South African investment fund with more than 50 investments in emerging markets. He ran their London office as well as Finance, HR and Portfolio Improvement.
Before that, Ed held roles with Private Equity firm Doughty Hanson & Co (in M&A and portfolio management), Tesco (in strategy and operations) and strategy consulting with Roland Berger.
Ed holds a MA in French, Portuguese and Management Studies from Cambridge University.
