Alejandro Gonzalez-Leon

Alejandro is an Associate in Actis’ sustainability team, having joined the firm in November 2022. He supports Actis’ companies to embed sustainability into business plans and create sustainability leaders.

Prior to joining Actis, Alejandro spent almost 4 years in the ESG Impact team at BII (the UK’s DFI) implementing international environmental and social (E&S) standards across investments in the energy infrastructure, telecoms, transport and manufacturing sectors across Africa and Asia-Pacific. Prior to this, Alejandro spent 4 years working for a Dubai-based consultancy supporting the integration of international E&S standards across water and power companies in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Alejandro holds an MSc Environmental Science from the URJC (Madrid) and NMBU (Norway) and has over 10 years of work experience in the sustainability sector across Latin America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
