Institutional Real Estate: Accessing emerging Asia
David Tran, Director, Real Estate at Actis, recently spoke with Institutional Real Estate Asia Pacific for a piece on accessing emerging Asia and how investors can capitalise on shifting real estate trends.
In this piece, which covers everything from which markets and sectors we consider to be likely to gain in the current investment landscape, David lays out how the changes in investments are being driven by demand for modern and efficient distribution facilities and what he believes to be the need for new economy real estate aligning with the big themes driving the global economy, which he thinks concretely means investing in sectors such as data centres, industrial and logistics, and life sciences. He also explores the advantages Asia holds as a diverse region with strong demographic and economic fundamentals in many markets, such as Vietnam and other countries in Southeast Asia. “These markets are seeing strong growth, particularly in the industrial and logistics sector, for example, thanks to multinationals and other businesses diversifying their supply chains.”
