Bloomberg: Active Actis
Torbjorn Caesar, Senior Partner and Chairman of Actis, sat down with Dinesh Nair of Bloomberg for an interview on the firm joining forces with General Atlantic. Click here for the full interview, where Torbjorn discusses the combination as well as Actis’ plans for the future, and read on below for a few snippets of his commentary.
Torbjorn Caesar, Senior Partner and Chairman at Actis, commented:
“The proposition to limited partners was the core driver of this combination. LPs are writing fewer checks. They want fewer but deeper partnerships. That’s what we are doing here by teaming up. General Atlantic has a lot of private wealth clients, while we are mostly institutional. Clearly, there are advantages for our firms in exploring the two investor bases. We are about $100 billion AUM today and of course we do have plans to grow that further.”
