Alberto is a Partner covering Latin America. He is based in the firm’s Austin office.
Alberto joined Actis as an Associate in 2014 and has played a key role in expanding the firm’s footprint in the Americas across four fund vintages of Energy. His investment experience includes Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy, Energuate, Zuma Energia, Atlas Renewable Energy, Saavi Energia, Valia Energia and Orygen. Alberto is currently a board member of Valia Energia, Orygen and NextStream.
Prior to working at Actis, he was an Associate Director with Temasek’s Latin America Investment Group. Alberto started his career in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division.
Alberto holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BSc. in Economics from CIDE in Mexico City, and also pursued undergraduate studies at Sciences-Po in Paris and the London School of Economics.
