Sami Cherif

Sami joined Actis in 2012 focusing on consumer investments in Africa. During his time with Actis he has been part of the deal team responsible for the investment and IPO exit of Edita Food Industries SAE (EFID:EGX).

He is currently part of the team responsible for the firm’s investment in Integrated Diagnostics Holdings Plc (IDHC:LSE), the leading consumer healthcare company in Africa, as well as the buy-and-build of Honoris United Universities, the first Pan-African higher education network.

Prior to joining Actis, Sami was a senior investment banker at Beltone Financial Holding in Egypt where he led M&A and DCM mandates. Before joining Beltone in 2008, Sami was a Senior Associate in NCB Capital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Sami holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA in Accounting from the American University in Cairo.
