David Sung

David is part of the Korean investment team within Actis’ Asian Real Estate operations, with a focus on development and asset management.

David had been with Standard Chartered Bank’s Principal Finance Real Estate group (PFRE) for two years before it was acquired by Actis and he made the transition. Prior to joining PFRE, David was a senior manager of Golfzoncounty Co. Ltd, responsible for golf course acquisition and development.

Before this, he served as senior manager in Mirae Asset, responsible for development and asset management of office buildings, hotels, retail and mixed use complexes and he started his career at Samsung C&T Corporation as a mechanical engineer on both domestic and overseas construction sites, accumulating 13 years of overall experience in the industry.

David holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Seoul National University and B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University.
