An Actis-led consortium acquired the macro tower portfolio of Telekom Srbija, a leading telecommunications operator in the CEE region, across Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro in January 2024 and announced the new brand of Connectis Tower in May 2024.

Connectis Tower aims to be a leading independent tower platform in the Balkans. It operates an existing portfolio of circa 1,800 macro towers, including approximately 1,000 in Serbia, 700 in Bosnia & Herzegovina, and 100 in Montenegro, with plans to expand this portfolio.

The platform focuses on providing space to telecom operators on well-situated towers, with a strong presence and market share across Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro. The tower portfolio is ideally located, allowing for great connectivity, with 98% being ground-based macro towers that can accommodate additional operators. Connectis Tower is poised for growth with ambitious plans to expand the tower portfolio over the coming years in each of its geographies, offering new space to telecom companies in prime locations.

Connectis is a strong participant in the region’s digitalisation trend, enabling connectivity and facilitating access to essential services across rural areas, where digital infrastructure is key to improving access to health and education services and enabling local economic development and new job opportunities.

Bogdan Djukic has been appointed as Group CEO to lead the platform. He is a seasoned leader in the telecom and infrastructure industry, with over 17 years of expertise. Jovana Nikolic has been appointed as Group CFO, also with more than 17 years of experience in audit, financial leadership and corporate finance.
