Lucy Heintz ranked in influential women in global wind sector list

Lucy Heintz, partner and Fund Head at Actis, has been ranked in the top 20 in A Word About Wind’s second edition of the Women’s Power List which showcases the global wind sector’s 100 most influential woman.  

The Women’s Power List 2021 special report, was developed to celebrate the essential contribution of women to shaping the future growth and success of wind power worldwide, and to share role models that can help to inspire the wind industry’s next generation of talented female leaders. The list, based on a scoring system, is drawn from nominations from A Word About Wind’s members and an independent board of judges. 

Lucy’s inclusion to the Women’s Power List comes shortly after her inclusion to the organisation’s European Power List 2021 and winning Financing Wind Europe 2021 Industry’s Leader of the Year category.  

Lucy is passionate about financing the energy transition and has been instrumental in driving Actis’ renewable energy strategy. A renowned deal maker, Lucy has led global deal teams operating in Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Tanzania. Lucy and the Actis team are currently building or operating over 80 energy companies targeting over 12GW. Key achievements in the last year include bringing West Africa’s largest wind farm and Kenya’s second largest wind farm online and selling Latin America’s largest wind farm.
